LHC orders govt to remove Parvez Elahi, family members’ names from Passport Control List

اس کے بعد محمد خان بھٹی کو مبینہ طور پر غیر قانونی طور پر تعینات کرنے کے کیس میں 18 ستمبر کو گرفتار کیا گیا جس کے بعد لاہور کی ایک عدالت نے انہیں جوڈیشل ریمانڈ پر بھیج دیا۔

اکتوبر میں لاہور کی ایک ڈسٹرکٹ اینڈ سیشن عدالت نے کیس کے اندر پولیس الٰہی کا ایک روزہ جسمانی ریمانڈ منظور کیا تھا۔ کچھ دن بعد، پنجاب اینٹی کرپشن اسٹیبلشمنٹ نے عدالت کو بتایا کہ اس نے مبینہ طور پر اس کیس میں سابق وزیراعلیٰ کی رہائش گاہ سے 4.1 ملین روپے برآمد کیے ہیں۔

اگلے ماہ، ایک جوڈیشل مجسٹریٹ نے بھٹی کو کیس کے اندر سے بری کر دیا تھا لیکن وہ بدعنوانی کے دیگر مقدمات میں جوڈیشل ریمانڈ پر جیل میں ہی رہے۔ اسی مہینے کے بعد، الٰہی کو کیس میں ضمانت مسترد کر دی گئی۔
